Split Air Conditioners
Split air conditioner is a general name given to air conditioners used for both heating and cooling the environment. The indoor and outdoor units in air conditioners operate independently of each other. The English word split also means “separate”, “separated”, “divided”. This name is given because the indoor and outdoor units are separate. The working system of split air conditioners is based on the principle of “energy and heat transfer”. This transfer is also called the “cooling cycle”. The opposite of transfer is called the “heating cycle”. Contrary to popular belief, the system used is not an air transfer.
Multi Split Air Conditioners
Split air conditioners have independent units that save space and provide both heating and cooling functions. Split air conditioners are divided into two groups according to their external units: Mono and multi split air conditioners. Split air conditioners are produced with designs suitable for the areas to be air conditioned, such as wall type, living room type, floor type, ducted type, concealed ceiling type. VRF and/or VRV systems are used when larger systems are needed.

VRF / VRV Air Conditioning Systems
VRF ; VRF, which is the initials of the words Variable Refrigerant Flow, can be translated into Turkish as variable flow refrigerant system air conditioning system.
VRV ; VRV, which is the initials of the words Variable Refrigerant Volume, can be translated into Turkish as variable flow refrigerant volume air conditioning system.
Both VRF and VRF systems are the same technological systems and are used by different brands. In VRF VRV systems, a certain number of indoor units that process air are connected to a modular outdoor condensing unit.
VRF Air Conditioning System; Direct expansion air conditioning systems where an outdoor unit and multiple indoor units can be controlled independently of each other with the help of gas flow distributors. The required amount of refrigerant is sent to the required indoor unit in the right phase and at the right time, ensuring its use in heating and cooling. By creating alternatives with a compressor or compressors with inverter control of the refrigerant flow, the refrigerant is adapted to the air conditioned spaces.
An advanced control system allows switching between heating and cooling modes. In more advanced versions, the indoor units operate independently of each other in both heating and cooling. This last feature provides high energy savings in heating and cooling different areas at the same time. In such systems, there is no need to establish indoor facilities and it provides great flexibility with the combination of different air handling units. VRF Air Conditioning Systems; It is successfully used in places where independent ventilation applications are required such as offices, shopping malls, luxury apartments, villas, restaurants, plazas, hotels.
VRF or VRV air conditioning systems are equipped with advanced control and flow control units. The required amount of refrigerant is delivered to the required location in the right phase and at the right time, ensuring that it is used for heating and cooling.
VRF Air Conditioning System offers more comfort with energy saving thanks to inverter technology and variable gas flow. It provides full independent control in all types of structures, from multi-storey buildings to single villas, with maximum care and respect for the environment, focused on energy saving, advanced application flexibility and freedom from flexibility and modular structure.

VRF (Virtual Refrigerant Flow) air conditioning systems are direct expansion air conditioning systems where multiple indoor units can be controlled independently from a single outdoor unit using gas flow distributors. The required amount of refrigerant is delivered to the indoor unit at the correct phase and time for heating and cooling. The refrigerant flow is controlled by an inverter-controlled compressor or alternative compressors, ensuring the refrigerant level adapts to the conditioned spaces.
An advanced control system enables switching between heating and cooling modes. In more advanced versions, the indoor units operate independently of each other in both heating and cooling modes. This latter feature allows for high energy savings by simultaneously heating and cooling different zones. These types of systems eliminate the need for indoor installation and offer great flexibility with combinations of different air handling units. VRF air conditioning systems are successfully used in places where independent ventilation applications are required, such as offices, shopping malls, luxury apartments, villas, restaurants, plazas, and hotels.
VRF or VRV air conditioning systems are equipped with advanced control and flow regulation units. They ensure that the required amount of refrigerant is delivered to the desired location at the correct phase and time for heating and cooling.
VRF air conditioning systems offer greater comfort combined with energy savings thanks to inverter technology and variable refrigerant flow. Showing maximum care and respect for the environment, focusing on energy efficiency, and offering advanced application flexibility and the freedom that comes from this flexibility, along with its modular structure, it provides completely independent control in all types of buildings, from multi-story buildings to single villas, whether newly constructed or existing.
VRF Usage Areas
Where more than one independent zone has air conditioning needs and the load requirement is constantly changing;
- Hotel,
- Hospital,
– Office,
– Restaurant,
- Shopping centre,
- Theatre,
– Cinema,
– Buildings with glass curtain walls
– Architectural elements are at the forefront
– In historical buildings where deformation is not desired on the exterior,
– In buildings where it is difficult to pass air ducts that take up a large space compared to the cooling gas pipes inside the building,
– In buildings where there is not enough space for mechanical installations and the cooling system needs to be placed outdoors (roof, garden),
– In villas where comfort is desired in every aspect,
– In business centers and plazas where tenant groups in separate sections request their own air conditioning bills (consumed energy control),
VRF or VRV air conditioning systems can be used.
VRF/VRV Advantages
Individual Air Conditioning System
With VRF/VRV system, independent rooms can be controlled at independent temperatures. ± 0.5°C precision ensures that room temperature is kept under control. The application is controlled by the inverter and indoor unit expansion valve.
Increase in annual operating time of the system
The annual operating capacity of the system has been increased with the cooperation of VRF/VRV systems with high technology and the perfect harmony of inverter and fixed speed compressors.
Better comfort control for more people
With its unique technology, VRF / VRV Air Conditioning Systems meet all customer needs from new or old, small to large buildings. With comfort control, it is possible to control the entire system with the help of cables between the indoor and outdoor units. In this way, the wiring process is simplified and incorrect connection errors are corrected.
Control of the air conditioning system of the entire building
In VRF/VRV systems, up to 64 indoor units can be controlled from a single center. Optional remote controls required for central control can be easily installed and the system can be easily designed according to the building's structure and intended use.
High design flexibility
The indoor unit connection ratio of the VRF/VRV system can vary up to 130% of the outdoor unit capacity. Thus, a high level of diversity is achieved with 64 indoor units that can be connected to a single cooling system. Hotels, workplaces, residences, and offices are designed according to this selection range.
Higher comfort and savings in usage areas
The linear step control application used in conjunction with the inverter and fixed speed compressor, which allows for more precise control of the amount of refrigerant circulation required for the system load, provides comfort and energy savings. This also provides a comfortable comfort opportunity with the use of capacity control. The inverter compressor provides energy savings at variable capacities, while the fixed speed compressor provides maximum performance.
High reliability
In addition to the control that reduces the number of compressor starts and stops, the initial load is shared and equalized thanks to the cycle control. This cycle increases the durability and reliability of each compressor. Inverter technology is provided by the only inverter compressor in the system, while full capacity is achieved with other standard compressors.
Small area occupation
VRF/VRV systems require less space for installation thanks to their compact design and high operating standards. They provide space savings of up to 33%.
Low noise level
In VRF/VRV outdoor units, the operating noise has been reduced thanks to the new double-layer protective casing and large fan. The noise level can be reduced by 4-5 dB compared to normal operating mode when the silent mode is selected. Silent indoor unit selection options are available, which is useful for bedrooms and other rooms where silence is desired.
Low operating costs
VRF/VRV systems provide simple piping up to 175 meters, and the use of R410A refrigerant reduces operating costs and simplifies installation.
Long life and quick return on investment
Once installed, VRF/VRV systems provide savings to businesses thanks to the energy gains and long life they provide.
